Multi Grain wheat flour/atta - 2 cups
Salt - 1 tsp
Melted ghee or Oil - 2 tbsp
Dry yeast - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
warm water - 1/2 cup
Curd - 2 - 3 tbsp
Butter/ghee/oil to brush naan
Method:
- First, in a small bowl mix warm water, sugar and yeast cover it and keep in a warm place for 10 minutes or so till the mixture rises.
- In a big bowl add multi grain atta/wheat flour, salt , curd, ghee and yeast mixture.
- Now mix everything together and knead into a smooth dough.
- keep the dough aside covered with a lid in a warm place for min 30 mins - 1 1/2 hours time till the dough rises and doubles in size.
- Once it doubles its size knead the dough well and divide into medium sized balls.
- Mean While heat the tawa on slow flame, so that you can roll out and start cooking side by side.
- Roll each ball into a slightly thick circles and pull from one side to give a triangular shape just like we see in resto's!! :P
- Now apply some water on one side of the flattened dough and put the wet side down facing the hot tawa! Cook covered in medium heat until u can see the puffed up bubbles.
- Then removed the lid and flip other side and cook for a minute or directly cook over flame.
- Once done remove from the tawa and brush the naan with butter or ghee.
