This Starter will give a grand opening ceremony for your taste buds to relish! This recipe is a ideal starter for sea food lovers! My DH loves prawns, Trust me he can gobble up a full pot of prawn curry in one go as his meal! After marriage, cooking prawn for him often also made me an addict to this lovely Sea creature! So I've tired vada, biriyani, Gravy, curry, etc with Mr. Prawn, the only thing which was left to try was the fry! So here it is! Caution: You can not stop with just one bite! :D

Ingredients:
Medium sized Prawns - 400gms (cleaned & de-viened)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
Hung curd - 1 tbsp
Red Chilly Powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Corn flour/Rice flour - 1 tbsp
Bread crumbs - to coat
Salt - to taste
Oil - to deep fry
- Clean and de-vein the prawns and rinse it well using turmeric powder, this helps in eradicating the raw smell of the shrimp from your kitchen as well it acts as an anti-bacterial agent.! :)
- Now take a bowl add Red chilli powder, Hung curd, Ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, Jeera powder, pepper powder, Garam masala, corn flour and sufficent salt to taste. and mix well into thick paste.
- Add the clean prawns to the mixture & coat well, allow it to marinate for around 20 - 30 mins covered in room temperature or in refrigerator.
- Heat oil to deep fry in a kadai, Spread some bread crumbs in a plate and Gently coat each prawn with it and shake off the excess bread crumbs and keep it ready in a separate plate.
- Once the oil is hot enough, Drop the prawns in batches and fry for 3-4 mins in medium flame or until cooked.
- Strain the fried prawns in a tissue and Serve it nice and hot with green chutney!
